- Travelling on foot on overland map
- Scoring hits on foot while moving. XP bonuses on kills and higher relative speed
So what would that mean?
Bandit hideouts. Companions with shields and no weapons on 'Shield Wall' formation while you dance around and stab bandits in the back. Make sure you're moving when the hit is scored.
You can fire a bow.
You can be stationary.
It takes a long time, which is good. Athletics is almoat overpowered.
Btw, did I mention it takes a long time?
Athletics XP gain is heavily based on relative movement speed, so weapon length and stabbing are the way to go, because if you get too close either you or your target might slow down and screw up your RMS.
If you're willing to take the risk, cavalry are the fastest units around.
You can also kill thugs. Their stats are very weak.
When I was working on blacksmithing, I would clear out gangs to wait a day instead of just waiting a day.
