Game keeps launching in windowed mode

I have my settings set to either fullscreen or borderless window but randomly when i launch the game again it will switch to windowed and half the game is off screen and i cant even apply the option change to fix it again

Happened to me yesterday, launched in windowed mode, but I was able to change the display options back to borderless windowed. No idea why it happened, first time its done so.

It has happened to me with a different game and it's annoying. Press Alt+Enter to toggle full screen mode.

I've had this problem since launch and just now decided to google it. Also, my refresh rate defaults to 50Hz instead of 60. I have to change it in options every time I start the game.

Did you fix it? I'm having the same issue, but it doesn't even save for my current game
I can't have full screen with 74hz (my monitor hz), and I also can't change my resolution

It’s not a bug and holy necro lol
Go to documents bannerlord find engine config and put safely exited to 0 if 1
And set your res and hz in config, save and you are done, next time you crash it will reset

Sorry for extreme necro, but if you go to the engine_config document, and change display_mode to 2, it seems to work

Just to bring this back to life (again) because I had this issue too....

Tonger0516 was right....that file is found at: C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs
