Bows/Arrows/ bolts and crossbows
So i have been thinking about this for a while now. Why are you punishing players who want to use crossbows and bows? I feel like arrows should be a free slot. If you run crossbow and bolts. you only have 2 slots. So if you wanted to run a 2 handed. you cant run a shield. then your 4th slot is just a spear or mace with no shield. It really makes no sense. Its kind of lame. I want to do a 2 handed sword build but have spear and shield with bow and arrow but i cant because arrows take up a slot. I feel like this should be changed. I understand you only had 4 slots in the first game as well but the game isnt complete realistic anyway. SO let us have a free arrow slot. That would make the game much more enjoyable for people who want to run bows and arrows

I'd like this, probably, but they also need to have some kind of line, we cant just keep being given extra slots for things.

Do you really think it would be that big of a deal if they gave us a free slot just for arrows and bolts though? i really dont think it would be that big of a deal as long as you cant put anything else in them. Maybe like throwables too but idk.

note the first thing I said was that id probably like this. Im more or less saying what you get at there at the end, maybe a dedicated slot for arrows or bolts and nothing else, but then what about throwing weapons? Do they also go in this slot, or remain a normal item?

i do Bow, Arrow, Arrow, 2H. I don't mind not having a shield as i stay far from combat, but i make sure to switch to spear/shield when facing horse archers because screw that noise. i don't move in till i'm out of arrows, and by then the battle's damn near over. i will sometimes pick more arrows up off the battlefield.

That being said, i'd love an extra slot, maybe i can stick some arrows on my horse or something.

I think throwable items should be allowed to go into this slot as well. They are meant to be used as throwing weapons after all. This would allow people who cant fit them into their build to use them also

having arrows take up a slot isn't to punish you, it's to make you choose. specialise as an archer with two quivers or be well rounded with a shield for protection.

think about it like this, if I have an extra slot for arrows that means I get a weapon, a shield, a bow, and a throwing weapon if i so choose, how is that balanced?

regardless, I'd love having more arrows! damn I run out fast.

This sort of thing was my fear. I could have sword, shield, bow, spear, and arrows, so im basically a do everything d&d adventurer at that point. Thats more or less what im playing as much of the time, so it personally wouldnt bother me all that much, but it would be another thing in need of balance for multiplayer or various other things.
