My influence is at -75 cause of Law Speakers
Law speakers gives you +1 influence if your charm is high enough or a -1 if it's too low.

My charm is at 88 right now. What's level is charm considered high or neutral enough so I'd stop getting negatives?

The quickest way to level it is an exploit.
Go around and barter with every lord and give them 1 gold.
You should level to 100 after about 15 barters.
Oh that's exactly what I'm doing lol.

Right now I have to barter with two lords to get one point.

Just bumping this just to say I got my charm to 100 and I'm still taking negative influence. Perhaps Law Speaker needs a rework.

Also if you are in the negatives you can go to a Castle of your Faction go to the dungeon and donate prisoners you'll get Influence and around 50ish i think you can propose to revote the Law.
its 101 charm needed

So I went hard negative(-256 at one point) because I attacked/declared war on the Khuzaits twice. Once when I went for my frist feif and the second time after I turned in the main quest to start my kingdom. I guess it auto-stops all wars you are currently in when you do.

You might be experiencing what I went through, but only declared once. Take a look at your influence per day because fighting looters should offset any negatives super easily.

give prisoners and recruits to towns/castles, even looters are worth a decent amount of influence. if you spend a few days hunting bandits you can easily make a few hundred influence. also recruit in every village and town and then just give the units away, unless you want to keep them.

never had that problem went - once when i first started my kingdom but now don't even notice a drop its almost around 10 k couple of times went - when doing a kingdom decision but went back up quick for some reason seams to take more then 50 when you do a policy

Above 100 Charm, so 101. Also, one of the best ways to get influence is to donate troops to the garrison, or to donate prisoners to the dungeon.

70 something influence is trivial, I'm sitting at a few thousand as a vassal. It gets hard to spend enough influence once you own cities with forums unless you're literally wasting it.

Did not about know about gaining influence from donating soldiers and prisoners. Will try that.

I joined the Southern Empire as soon as I hit clan tier 2, and the Lawspeakers policy was already in place and -1 a day tumbles down pretty quickly. I'm still in the Southern Empire so it's still ticking down for me. I've only managed to get my charm to 100 quickly from the noble barter exploit , which I assume they'll fix eventually, but that leaves the Lawspeaker policy kind of imbalanced.
