there's an op weapon you can use such as the rhompalia <sp> 169 cut damage it's effortless and there's really no reason to use anything else
Only if you are 5 feet from the target. But I am not wrong when you try to hit a target up close, the game literally stops you from damaging your target if you are up close. You have to be far enough to even hit your enemy.
unless you use a Rapier, though shame they don't have that in here, quick, agile, a bit of fines, you'd take down a armoured target pretty easily if you know how to hit the joints.
Shame they never added that type of weapon in. I know it's not "Combat" effective at times.
Well, sounds reasonable enough, though they'd have to take the punching animation I'd presume for the gauntlets.
In contrary to what some people say (looking up :) about spears vs swords in MB, swords actually do require more skill to use effectively in melee, with spears you mostly lolspin for max pierce damage (kinda bit like animation abusing thing, where you start your stab looking somewhere else and end it in enemy face, speed is key as well to have better damage, albeit in contrast to warband, angular momentum is actually less effective in bannerlord) and seizure level fake outs.
If you have to cheese the hitboxes to get the spear to be useful on foot, it's not a useful weapon on foot.
