Which empire is best empire?

North, South, or West?

Strategically South.
West have to fight Battania and Vlandia, which are both strong.
North have easy Sturgians, but strong Khuzaits.
South fight mostly Aserai, easy opponent.

yellow empire is stronger than purple empire in multiplayer

South is mostly the safest one. Aserai aren't too...bad.

South also seems to have the most NPCs who have stories attached to them (Like Ira).

North is probably the good one though. Likes the Senate. And usually needs your help too, the Khuzaits in my first game cut a swathe into the Empire if the North doesn't hold the line.

West is Battania. And Vladians if you push through them. And also Sturgians. Also, pink. Don't like the Western side too much.

Lore wise, which one do you think makes sense? The North Empire seems like it's trying to be a republic again, the South Empire wants to keep things the way they were as a monarchy, and the West Empire is rule by military which is essentially a dictatorship.

I'd definitely say South. I've played I think 7 campaigns over 200 days with different factions now and in almost every single campaign the Western Empire gets bodied by Battania and the Northern Empire gets destroyed by the Kuzaits. Southern Empire seems to do just fine in comparison.

In my experience the Northern Empire does the best in campaign. I have never seen the Khuzait stand a chance against them. And they sooner or later will invade the Southern Empire.
Western Empire just up and dies very quickly against Battania and Vlandia.
