For banners, probably mods. For icons, you can turn it off under gameplay setting

It is funny that in game called bannerlords I need to install mods to have well banners.

A less obtrusive icon would be better. Great idea.

I mean it doesnt have to be a giant circle right it could be something that doesnt impede vision as badly like it does now. This is actually almost a quality control thing at the moment.

Fighting in hideouts i am sure everyone has had one in their face before. :)

They're targets. Shoot the little circles for bonus XP.

In addition to Kobie-XIV's correct suggestion to set Friendly Troops Banner Opacity to 0 in the gameplay settings you may also enjoy clicking the "Hide Battle UI" box.

When I made this film in the first part I only clicked the Hide Battle UI box, and a bit later I also set the banner opacity to zero, and the game is soooooo beautiful with those settings.

For reference, this is the film. Be advised it's got a skimpy chainmail bikini, so if that's a problem don't look.

While it can be nice to see the damage you do to enemies, it scrolling right in the middle of the screen very much hurts the beauty of the game. I wish they had moved the text off to a lower corner. But at least they gave us a setting to disable it.

I play with the round symbols completely turned off.

They're counter-immersive, and it makes dealing with large groups of soldiers more exciting because of the opportunities for friendly fire.
