Arrow boxes for siege defenses?
Didn't there used to be arrow boxes to replenish your arrows when defending a castle? What happened to those?

I finished up a siege a couple hours ago and used mine liberally. They're sometimes placed oddly (Some castles have them on the heighest point, some have them inside towers). Are they gone from where you think they were? or are you unsure if they don't have them at all?

I never saw that in M&B or Warband. It may have been from a mod. Sounds overpowered, frankly. In Warband I'd often get 1-hit kills and a like 90% headshot rate at high archery in sieges. Infinite arrows would pretty much guarantee a victory.

I just don't think any of the castles or strongholds have them at all. I can't find them ANYWHERE and I'll literally look from top to bottom everywhere. Where are your arrow boxes at?

Defending your castle and having arrow boxes kinda makes sense, I can kind of see how people would think it's OP because they have unlimited arrows techinically, but they still have to land their shots and their attackers are firing back at them and if they're good shots like crossbowmen or battanian fians, the people on the walls are going to get massacred just as badly. Its in multiplayer and I thought I saw it on a few castles in single player, but after a few updates I don't see them anymore.

It's not a mod, its part of the game. I've even seen them on the attackers side too.

They're probably just in weird places sometimes.

I'm attempting to defend Amitaty's as a mercenary getting paid 230 denars per group i take out against a battanian army of literally 1698 and I'm searching this stronghold top and bottom and can't find a single one anywhere.

Perhaps it's tied in with siege workshop levels in the castle management -- ie. a part of pre-battle preparation.

I tried to load up a custom battle, and didn't find any. (Empire_Town_H.. AKA, Poros and most empire cities)

I know where they spawned when I played earlier today, but they're not there in custom battle

If you find them anywhere AT ALL in any castles or strongholds, let me know please because I just want to know if its even still a thing in the game anymore. I don't see them anywhere.

I'll play more tonight, and i'll grab pictures if I find them.

Off the top of my head, (on the same empire city, Which is used for Poros, "Jamyletic" (spelling), "Zeantic?" (Spelling?). There are arrow boxes along the far left and far right towers, They're placed to the sides of the doors. and I remember one ontop of the wooden gatehouse behind the mounted crossbow.

Why on some maps there is arrow boxes for attackers and on other maps there is none? I found attacker side boxes only on one map. It was huge Aserai castle (city). What is the reason for this?

I am not completely sure, but are they still there when it is only a level 1 wall?
That was my first thought when I couldnt find them, that the walls were of a low level.
Might be connected, but can't say for sure.

Imperial and Vlandian strongholds have crossbow bolt buckets. And Khergit's had buckets with steppe arrows. As others said, the town or castle wall level and model might have something to do with some appearing or not appearing. Also I never saw one of these buckets for the attacker side.

The only map I found buckets for attacker side is this Khergit map: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2489885784

I don't know its name, but MB some of you will recognize it? It was castle, not city. It's kind of huge, so maybe its the reason why there is arrows for attackers...

Actually arrow buckets for attackers are kind of redundant. You can always equip all your followers with 3 quivers, get +50% ammo trait for engineer and just shoot your followers for almost infinite arrows ;)
