Fighting Gangs in the street
I'm having big trouble with fighting gangs in the street during the second stage. If there are mre than around 15 man in their party. I can only bring a maximum of 10 man. But even with really high tier troops i keep loosing the fight, sometimes even on the lowest difficulty.
Does someone have tips for it?

You can hire thugs which have decent "Civilian" clothing. You can also give you and your companions horses, in the civilian mode which give a massive advantage

1st time I played gang war, I believe you can retreat the 2nd stage. As long you got manpower you can still fight the 2nd stage.

Have to tour the map finding the best gear for it. Then a little experience and can do this with the companions.

Can ask the companion nearby to gather the rest up for the fight.

Its doable but not easy mode. Just another awsome feature done well when its known and there is a bit more to it than it seems.

* got to be able to win the duels in the training grounds with the sword for quite a bit of the game to go well, so practice that. Move left and swing right with timing.

I don't seem to be able to equip much of any armor or weapons with the civilian clothing screen. I was able to equip a horse but no armor and the horse never shows up when I go to a Castle.

It seems the thugs in the city are related to nearby bandit hideouts.

Is second stage not available anymore? Whenever I clear the alley I only have options to leave it empty or take over if I have a roguery companion.

Just pump up your melee skills a little and wait for the enemy to hit, take a step back and start your attack. Nothing to block, just step back, punch, step back, punch. When the opponents retreat, you can return to them and continue the fight. You can get on the cart and kill them with long shafts, but it's boring. Avoid knocking out the companion who will become the manager, otherwise there will be a crash.
