1st vs 3rd person
I play most every game in first person including Warband. I've trying Bannerlord in first person and something seems not right that I can't put my finger on. Certainly there's the weird seeing in your skull bug but that clears up when switching back and forth. This is something different, like the camera is in the wrong place or something.

1h with shields in first person is a whole different ball game with a shield. You have to listen as well as look because when you block with the shield you can't see a damn thing.

Anybody else had a sense that 1st person was 'off'.

you want vision behind a shield whilst blocking?

i don't think you understand how shields work mate

And I don't think you understand how to read pal. I said there was something off about 1st camera view. Then I made a comment about 1st being more engaging because it's realistic and you can't see over the shield so you have to listen.

I also enjoy the challenge behind 1st person, especially with the shields... Mine seems okay to be honest, maybe switch up your FoV settings and see if that helps? Good luck :D

I think there is something off.. but it is far more apparent when you knock a bow.

@CptnBananana Yeah, I did widen the FOV a bit.
@Mollerz, yep, I noticed that too, it's one reason why it seemed the camera position (i.e. where it assumes your eyes are) was off.

I don't have a weirdly tall or short character, though I might try that to see if it changes it.

For me it's the so called headbobbing. It drives me mad. When i walk and run irl i don't see my surroundings bobbing up and down so why does it happen in first person games???

If you don't know what head bobbing is:
head bob
In first-person view games, the up-and-down (and sometimes left-and-right) motion of the player's camera to simulate the bobbing of the player-character's head when walking or running. It is often an option that can be disabled as it may induce motion sickness in players.

Yep the bobbing is a bit much, and I turned off motion blur right away. I'll fiddle with character height and see if that has an effect. I still prefer it to 3rd person. You really have to have situational awareness when all the sudden the front lines shift.

Was able to get back to 3rd person by 'take a walk in the village'. Pressing ' r ' worked as it did in the past.
