Village prosperity
So I've been trying to figure out how to improve a village's prosperity. When I got my first village, they had "rusty tools" and all that, but others I'd seen were "average wealth and well-fed" so I wanted that, or better.

Long story short it is just directly tied to hearth's. I tried selling them tools so they wouldn't be rusty, and they will keep and slowly consume the tools so I'm not sure if that affects something else, like improved production? But it didn't effect the flavour text or hearths.

So far I think these are the ranges:

Hearths < 200: Malnurished. Animals are starving and dying

200< Hearths < 500: Hard times, rusty tools

500< Hearths < ??? : Average wealthy, well-fed

I haven't seen any villages with hearths above 600 yet, so not sure where the next cutoff is.

Hopefully it gets fleshed out more in the future, but so far it seems hearths are +1 a day (new born) and that's it, I haven't seen any way in a castle or town to affect that rate.

So now you know you can stop trying to dump food into these villages as it won't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Oh and also, the amount of money the village has is always reset to 1000 each day, buying all the stuff so they have 3000+ denars each day also seemed to do nothing.

Hope this helps!

Is the "Double Village Growth" perk bugged?

I wish there were upgrade options to make villages better.
Additionally all the cattle quests etc. should boost their wealth as well.

The best way I have found to raise Hearths is to give the "villager" army inside the village a donation of troops.

Every time that little trading Villager army dies to a bandit or enemy army, the town loses that many "hearths" to replace the villager army.. meaning you have to start all over again. It's really devastating, because if you lose 20 villagers to a bandit group, that's essentially 20 days of lost progress.

However, I have found that if I donate troops by clicking the Villager army while it is the town, I can give it up to 60 troops. Once the villager army has 50-60 Tier 5 troops... enemy bandits stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with them. And then you can just sit back and let the villages slowly grow, naturally.

So far the highest I've gotten mine is 1057, still says it's average wealth.

Dont think you can do this anymore. I tried, but no Donate Troops button showed up on the villagers, only when I seleced my allies armies.

The danger of resurrecting old discussions from back when Moses was a corporal.

Since way back then, they have added the Irrigation option in the associated twns and castles. This provides irrigation and increases growth in bound villages.
