Easy Charm Farming

You can easily farm charm xp for your character by abusing the barter system and trading 1 Denar for 1 Denar with other characters.

The barter system allows players to attempt trade money and goods with other characters. You can go up to nobles and other people and access the barter screen through different dialogue options which indicate that you want to make a deal.

Entering bartering mode will put your goods and money on one side and the other parties on the other side. It functions much like a trade in a town but you receive charm instead of trade xp because of reasons.

Here's the exploit: You can just trade 1 Denar for 1 Denar and the other party will accept this trade every time. The game will see that you successfully reached a deal with the other party, and you will be rewarded with Charm xp.

For person to person bartering, the game is only concerned with whether or not the trade is acceptable.The game uses the same system whether you are negotiating to get a spare horse from a friendly character or are trying to negotiate your way out of a battle. If you are negotiating for your freedom, the conditions are locked into the barter screen and you have to offer something of value to the enemy for them to leave you alone. Negotiating for your freedom costs quite a bit of money or goods. Friendly companions can be stingy as well, but they do not have conditions locked into the barter screen. Therefore, you can select 1 Denar for 1 Denar and the other party will accept and you will get the full xp for a successful person to person barter.

The easiest way to exploit this system is to just spam trades with other nobles when everyone combines forces into an army. You are limited to only one trade per person for a bit of time after a successful person to person barter.

My character is a trader build so his innate points into Social and Charm higher than normal, but he is getting 1-2 xp per successful barter with this method.
