600k gold Lamellar Scale Armor
Came across this suit for the first time, 48, 22, 16 for stats, tier 6. Best armor in the game from what I have seen so far by a country mile.
615,246 gold was the price, like, holy crap that's more than I would ever pay for armor of any quality, that's insane. Bug? Gotta be a bug right?

For bis item it's reasonable price imo.

Dunno, that's a huge jump from 20k gold armor to 615k for about a 14, 10, 8 increase in armor, that doesn't scale well with what has come before it.

I wonder if I can pilfer some off some party or other...

Worth every denar.

I spent 1.8 million giving my crew the best stuff.

One of the Imperial cities, I forget which one.

In Warband, modifiers existed that made the prices on items skyrocket for a minor boost over the base item, it's something to spend your denars on when you've got a nice flow of passive income from your weaveries.

610k isn't too much of a drain when you get yourself nicely established with some fiefs supplemented with workshops and/or caravans.

Not a bug when you see screenshots and videos of people hoarding millions of coins. It is fair that the super endgame gear should be priced sky high.

Hopefully they will rework the prices along with reworking the income levels, as things progress.

Was under the impression people made that money off the workshop bug mostly.
I'm trying to stay mercenary/freebooter for as long as possible with my current character, not swearing fealty to anyone. So fief income isn't a thing for me at the moment. Workshops and caravans mostly, though for some reason one of my workshops disappeared after the latest update.

workshops dissapear if the city is taken by another faction and caravans can also be destroyed and lost for good.

Good to know, thanks, I think it might have been as I was mercing for the nation my workshop was in and it was lost then. The city had changed hands before but I wasn't 'at war' with the conqueror. The Caravans I knew about of course.

If u have 4 caravans running for some time it is around 4k gold per day.Having a city is another 1k+per day or even more.Beating enemy caravan is 12-15k gold.Beating enemy lord can be 30-50k gold depending on battle size and amount of prisoners. Also u can get good or even best armours as loot i am pretty sure.Coz i got lamellar armour u talking about from killing bunch of cataphracts.

Is there even reason to stay mercenary when you can be upgraded to vassal? As vassal you still receive paycheck from the king but can gain fief some day. Yes as mercenary you can easily switch sides, but is that so important? You can choose good faction at start and stay with it.

Just think of the money as pennies and move the decimal point over two spaces.

Was never a merc. I have exterminated any and all moving looters and bandits, completed some quests, got mighty renowned off them, and I just needed to ask to join under the king. I literally just needed to rush into the battles on the firs war as a vassal, and manually overwhelm bad odd battles and I got awarded the castle we took, based on my renown again. From that points its a steamroll; build up the fief you get, choose farm/income/loyalty based perks at your levelups, and your fiefs will be very thankful for your lordship, and yeah. Dont just beef up your combat skills when creating a character. Make yourself have good social stats too if you want to be a vassal or a king...
