This is one of the absolutely most STUPID ISSUES IN THE GAME, when you take a castle you shouldnt be standing outside but it should be in your possession untill decided otherwise.

The fact that you are shut out of the castle you have just taken and cant even seek refuge Yea well dev team made some great things in game but this is one of those where you go Ok somebody let a low IQ person into the dev team, cus I dont know how they can make such an awsome game but this point its just stupid

That part of the game is still a work in progress. Have not get there myself so not sure how it all works.

Joining a realm will have good things and bad things most likely, meanwhile if you captured a castle yourself you would have to defend it without help while any of the realms may try take it from you.

I agree, you should be put inside the castle once you conquer it. But it's not that big a deal right now, they need to focus on other more critical issues.
