How do I gain independence without giving up my fiefs?
I've been carving out a bit of the map for myself before declaring independence, but unlike warband I can't revolt on a whim. The only way I know how in Bannerlord is formally being released, which, of course, makes that effort in taking those settlements worthless to me.

Does anyone know a way to revolt against your liege?

As far as I heard and I have seen in videos from other players, you can just leave the kingdom and will be asked if you want to keep your fiefs, in which case you will be immediately in a war with the former kingdom and suffer a relation penalty. Or you can give up your fiefs and leave the kingdom without them. I don't think there is any option to leave a kingdom with your fiefs without a negative drawback.

Disregard my previous reply. I just tried doing it & there was no option to keep the settlements. I suppose they changed that?

I don't know, there is nothing about that in the patch notes. Maybe it's how you leave the kingdom, if it's via the UI or by talking to the king. Or maybe it's just bugged. It's supposed to give you the option, just like in Warband.
