Well, sure... but I think we all want exploits removed from games we enjoy to play fairly, even if they are singleplayer
Never had I realised before that if you don't offer anything, the "Offer" button is actually a "Gift" button you can select right away. Now I feel dumb xD
The fact that you can just press "Gift" right away and get free XP is an evident problem an will of course be fixed, no doubt. But I really hope they also take note of this, or the exploit will remain, albeit with a couple of extra steps. It reminds me of the days when I used to play Monopoly on my phone against the AI. You were able to offer a trade of say, 200$ in exchange for 210$, and the AI would always accept, probably because it was programmed to allow a certain margin of loss or something like that.
Exploits make speedrunning fun.
They make certain challenge runs actually possible.
They let you cheese certain mechanics that are otherwise unfun, or simply have fun with the game in a way that's not necessarily intended, but still great fun.
If it's not MP, and it's not actually breaking the game (i.e. causing corruption/crashes/etc.) it's literally 100% up to the player whether or not they use it.
Skyrim isn't any worse of a game because the alch/resto/ench loop exists. But it IS arguably more fun in many ways because of it, even if you don't use it for actual combat purposes.
There's a number of current exploits in this game that are just straight fun, and I hope don't get fixed too fast... which is why I haven't reported them. They're not breaking the game in any way, but they are making actually exploring the game way more fun and somewhat actually possible.
You don't HAVE to utilize exploits. There's absolutely no reason to "ruin your enjoyment" just because you know something exists. But they honestly aren't actually hurting anyone by existing.
And trust me. There's not a single game out there without some form of exploit somewhere in it. The only question is what the consequences of utilizing it are. Such as most online games generally banning you... but that's not a concern for single player campaigns.
You can't be serious
It's EA, he's reporting an exploit, so it gets fixed. That's the proper procedure. Exploits are not features and are often tied to more serious bugs.
He's doing the right thing.
+1 Butter
/agree
Exploits are not "game features" and they should be fixed.
Bannerlord is going to be very moddable and the release will include a "Construction Set." There's no reason to kee broken game mechanics when all the player has to do is edit their saved game file...
Exploits are unintentional "bugs". If you want to speed things up for whatever reason, use mods or console commands. A complete game game should be free of these things, and this is an early access title, we are supposed to be reporting these issues.
I disagree with your speedrunning argument. If you want to speedrun the game, play an unpatched version, like all any% speedrunners do.
Eh. They absolutely need to fix exploits.
See, this is the problem with you speedrun fanatics. You are like, what... 0.01% of the playerbase, yet you demand that the product is polluted with various exploits just so you can "finish" the game fast.
You guys are an abomination to the gaming industry. Not even kidding.
