Is is possible to hire a bandit boss
If I arrest troups, I can hire them after a while. Can bandid bosses also be added to the own army after a while, or are there strictly for exchanging them for money at the taverns?

In theory you can recruit them but if they are tier V then you can't due to a bug (at least that's what i believe).

An army of "re-educated" Bandit Bosses would have some serious roleplay potential! I dig it!

I actually have/had a bandit boss in my army ( i don't remember if he died or not during one of my battles), so yeah, if they are tier IV you can recruit them without any problem.

They are both tier 5. So no, right?
Kernist Apr 8, 2020 @ 2:55pm
No, because of the bug. Some people claimed they could recruit one and only then it would brake, but for me i have it broken since the beginning. you have 3 options:
1. Just sell them in tavern.
2. Wait for the official fix.
3. You can install a mod fixing that, but idk how well it works with current version.

If it possible, you dont want right, they eat so much food and the upkeep way too high

If a bandit boss is a prisoners in an enemy lord's army you can technically free him so he will join your army should you defeat that lord.
I do think though that the only bandit bosses are from those rancid bandit camps. And I have yet to see a noble willing to set foot one of those cesspools.

Yes, if you free a bandit from an enemy you can recruit them without an issue, but it's pretty rare for an enemy to have bandit boss prisoner (at least in my game). What Konrad actually says is interesting because that's true bandit bosses i met are only from hideouts and enemy lords are never attacking them, but somehow it happens that enemy lord has a bandit boss as a prisoner. Maybe game rolls a dice what prisoners lords have?

Yes, thank your Kernist - but contrary to what most people seem to worry about with this game I would prefer that other nobles would get their grubby paws dirty with 8 troops against zillions of Robin Hood wannabes and Javelin-Terminators.

Why must I, as King, still do that dirty work?
