Khuzait taking over the entire map
So in my current play through of Bannerlord I decided to side with Valandia and become a vasal for them. However, in the time it has taken me to build up my army, reputation and income it seems that the Khuzait faction has completely taken over the map and has taken out every other faction. My faction is now at war with them, but it seems they are so overpowered now that they have endless armies to throw at us. It's making expanding almost impossible and eventually they are going to control the whole map. Does anyone have any tips to for this problem? I would hate to have to start a new game after all the time I put into this save. There doesn't seem to be any point in continuing to play if there's only one faction ruling the entire map.

Take a break and play the game in a few months?!?

Sadly snowballing is the normal in the current game...

When did you start this save? Some of the recent patches addressed some of the snowballing, although it's still present. If you started the savegame like 5 days ago then maybe Khuzait was already on it's way to domination when some of the fixes were implemented?

But regardless, it's a known issue that this happens too quickly and the devs continue on implementing fixes to battle this so hopefully one day it will be properly balanced. Some features like rebellions are still missing as well, which might have an influence on kingdom balance.

If they still don't have absolute control of the entire continent you may have a chance to stop them by going rogue and attack weak/low defended areas, pillage their peasants, burn the village so they dont recruit and their production stops.

Keep harassing and then capture cities and castles, it's extremly difficult to achieve it but it does a damage.

This might be the issue. I started this save over a week ago. That's a bummer to hear. Guess I'll just have to start over.

For the current scenario, all you can do is beat back as many armies as you can and hope you can hold out enough to help your Kingdom make a come back. If you don't think that you can do that, then it's over.

Next time try to keep an eye on any one kingdom that is getting too strong and deal with them earlier to prevent the situation from happening again.

There's a mod on Nexus that fixes how extreme wars become. It makes them declare Peace more frequently and reduces their ability to Snowball out of control.

Also a trick I do is kill off all members of an enemy ruling Clan, except their weakest member and leave them alive as a puppet ruler. In my game for instance, Bolat a lvl 1 Lady is leader of the Khuzaits, she owns like 4 towns and multiple castles but can't even travel with more than 40 Troops at a time. Suffice it to say, don't think I'll be worrying about the Khuzaits anymore.

If you kill off an entire Clan their Towns/Castles etc get passed onto a new clan, hence why it's important to leave the weakest member alive until you're ready to kill all of enemy clans off.

Keep in mind though, Negative Reputation is incredibly easy to get and incredibly hard to get rid of. Best way to get it back is by beating them on the field of battle and releasing them instantly, but it's painfully slow. So I recommend just picking just a few Lords to be friends with and Executing anyone with negative reputation. (Except the weakest member of their clan, gotta have the puppets be in charge)
