Recruiting bandits
What are the conditions to recruit bandits? Or is it even in game?

I tried a new save, attack villagers since the beginning. Yet the looters don't join me. Can I recruit bandits when I am a vassal?

Capture them as prisoners, or maybe try recruiting thugs you sometimes find in Taverns. As for the former, a couple of your prisoners will offer to join you every now and then, click on them in the party screen, they'll have an icon.

High speech and big advantage. Looters joined me when I attacked them with 180vs6 advantage.

So you don't need to be a bad guy?

I know about these. What I want is "befriend" with bandits and looters

As a previous poster stated, they may ask join you if you catch them with a large advantage. This also works if you've just defeated them, and the survivors are running.

There's also a perk at the end of the Roguery tree for recruiting bandits, but I have no idea if it's functioning.

Ah, you want to ally yourself with the bandits? Im honestly unsure if thats possible at the moment. Never been given the option to choose to help bandits when they're attacking villagers, or being attacked by lords.

Not at all. If you mean recruiting groups without fighting, I did it with high honor. My rogue skill was around 50 and speech was around 20.

Or if you mean prisoners - just wait a few hours and click a button in the party menu.

I wanted to try a criminal play through. I heard if you have bad reputation(or honor I forget) in warband, people will hunt down you. Assassin will be sent to hunt you etc... I want to experience this ...

But seem like there is a criminal point or something like that, I wonder what if the criminal point hit the ceiling.. any consequences?

Consequences are the above, although I don't know if there's assassination or thuggery events in place yet.

At high values, you will also be hunted by warbands/lords of the kingdom you're a criminal in, just like any other bandit party. You will be prevented from entering cities, or if caught, jailed, fined, or potentially executed.

You'll also find it somewhat more difficult to be a bandit as villagers and caravans will start running from you.
Thanks for replying. If anyone had a bandit playthrough please share your experience.

Honestly I wanna witness the outcome out of curiosity, but I hardly find such videos on YouTube even with warband, maybe I hit the wrong search term

y cant games translate that people dont wanna die...u think the poorest of poor people wanna fight mounted knights on horseback? they r prolly starving, sick, lack any proper combat skills LOL

the people should rise up and create a mob if treated poorly enough and then u gotta fight like 250 villagers or w/e

at least they dont attack u like some pokemon game where u dont dare walk thro the grass for fear of a fight for the 1k time
