Hey guys which sets is better to play bannerlord so that it would not cause lag?

1)i5-8 Gen, 8gb ram, UHD Graphics 620
2)i5-7 Gen, 8gb ram, Geforce 940mx

i know both are like really basic computer but which is better? a bit blur in terms of graphic card part

My guess is you won't be able with both those graphics cards. Geforce 940mx will still be better than your other integrated graphics card, by 50% according to the benchmarks. But a 50% boost to an old integrated graphics card still isn't much.

I'd recommend buying a new GPU if you can. You can get a used GeForece 1060 off of ebay for $130-$150.

Unfortunately i only can choose between this 2. what if i increase my ram to 12gb and continue using 940mx and set all graphic the lowest would it be ok?

Desktops are far superior to laptops in every way, except ease of transportation. They are cheaper, easier to upgrade, easier to fix, have better performing/less expensive components, and don't overheat as easily. I'd highly recommend getting a desktop.

Your ram isn't going to be what's holding you back in this case. You can always buy the game, and give it a shot with your specs. If it doesn't work, you've got a 2 hour play limit to return it on steam.
