which empire faction is "best"?

Hey beautiful people,

after a few days I decided to join the empire but I cannot decide which of the three faction I wanna join.

Du you have some advices or opinions about this?

I prefer southern. Always pick a ruler that has good traits and not some maniacal slaugtherer backstabber. But i dont think any one of them are "better" in any aspect.

But honestly, it seems the southern towns have better equiptment than the northern counterparts.
Dunno about the west.

For my experience, Southern is beast, worst is Western...

north is ruled by a senator, south is remnant of the old emperor being currently ruled by his widow wife and awaits the old emperors daughter to come of age, and west is ruled by the old empires commanding general. T kinda give you an idea how they are ruled..one is a monarchy, one is totaltarian, and the other is a democracy/republic, lorewise, if that helps lol

The one with the most elite Troops is the best. Which means any.

It comes down to personal taste. For example at first I wanted to try the horse archery, and that was cool and all. But second time around, I missed my huge axes, and now you can swing them from horse back...oh baby.

I just wish there was more gore in this game, like decapitations and body parts getting severed.

I've ended up helping the Northern Empire in both my campaigns so far since the Kurzait started to roll over them pretty early in both campaigns and I like to help the underdog out.

They seem to have a lot of cities in close proximity that have Viglia/Equite recruits too, which is also nice. I know it's kind of random, but two cities side by side that have horse specialty gives them a good chance to have a solid cavalry recruitment area.
