Diplomacy, influence and conspiracy Q's
Peace offers
Couple questions, seems like if you declare on a huge faction and take a castle making peace is impossible? I took a castle from vlandia and defeated several lords and an army and made peace by paying them a substantial amount 60-80k but they just declare war after 2 in game days again. Is the only way to make peace to pay them and have no owned settlements? And the diplomacy buttons in the kingdom tab simply don't work seems like you have to talk to a lord directly?

Influence question
I fought a battle and won but got knocked out and I lost something like 240 influence. Now I can't even tell another party to follow me even though it costs 0 influence. What gives? Do I just need to win 20 battles without being knocked out to regain influence to 0?

Conspiracy
I chose to start my own faction which is why I sniped a castle to progress the story and make that possible, but now I have a quest to "stop a conspiracy" with no additional information. Simply states conspiracy strength 1000/2000.

It's extremely easy to declare war on a few factions and get rich by chasing down lords, and then having a caravan and some workshops going, but the rest of the game doesn't make much sense to me. Diplomacy seems broken, and holding a castle is simply a liability if you have a war versus a large faction because they will not accept peace and send armies larger than my combined party strength even if I garrison and have like 300 troops. Campaign is in a weird spot where I have to farm influence to control anything and can't make peace.

Not sure what you mean by bugged, the quest just doesn't explain anything

I ended up modding my game to get the dev console and set my influence to 0 instead of farming battles so I could potentially get a settlement from a faction before they die.

But yeah I don't want to have to enter a cheat whenever I pass out in a battle to tell a party to follow me at a cost of 0 influence if I go negative.

The quest isn't fully finished yet, so just avoid it.
