Creating your own empire.
Been a Vladian vassal for some time now, wanted to gather strenght and wealth before being my own boss but how is it viable to create your own empire ?

I mean, other empires are so damn strong, roaming with doomstacks, and since you cannot really control your companions' armies, it's almost impossible to expand since you have so much travelling to do if you want to defend your stuff.

Im at clan rank 6 now at mo at my current playthrough.
I Started my own kingdom after id reached clan 4 at the secluded west side ostykia or something and worked out from there.Im still just using the 3 parties as recruiting the ai lords just means constant war.
Most my fiefs have no lords in them as i just use one to buff new aquisitions then move them out again onto the next.
The trick is making them attack what you want them to attack. So when i advance i leave a weak castle then farm troops etc as they inevitably come to siege it.Execute them alllllll as none are worthy of joining your kingdom.
All ways are fun though, choose your path wisely :)

It's not really viable right now. There are allot of things that need to be added before having your own empire is more then a headache if you dont want to murder every other lord in the game.

I'm not bashing TW, and I love M&B but realistically it's going to be awhile before we get there.

For now, just vassel up.

Ok allright.

I am a huge Total War player and in that game, fact that we can control your armies really helps defending large territories.

I really love Bannerlord, main game at this moment, but yeah... Your companions with their own free will, getting their army wrecked and then chill in some taverns after jail release is a funny feature, but try expending with these drunkards...

Not to mention our above-all-laws King bypasses democratic votes to claim key forteresses that you actually lead and won the siege at high cost lol... I love this game.

if you really want to.

advance the main quest till you got the quest to form your own empire. wait for some kingdom that most likely going to lose the war with less than 3 town left. quit being the vassel then start a war with that kingdom. take over the town. create your own kingdom. kill every lord of that kingdom to prevent them form an army to retake your town. (a time wasting task because you do not know where are they going to spawn)

and the headache start... if you cant persuasive some [noble] family lord to join you side. it
will be extremely hard to defend when you start the war with other cause the lack of army leader and your companions armies are too small to fight with them (as the ai will automatically start war at you first no matter what good your relationship with them)

Yeah I got all pieces of the Dragon Banner, I just dont want to gift it to some King. Would be kind of lame.

I sometimes wonder if it would be a nice addition to be able to fight the battle defending your holdings even if your main character is not there. Perhaps if you appoint a governor you fight as him?

Yeah well that would be a start. We cant even change City projet or any City management if we are not physically there, Well, if we can, I dont know how.

that will be good and bad at the same time. as the enemy always outnumbered you in siege battle.
