Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Any way to disable conspiracy quest or make wars stop at every 2-3 days?
I love this game but this is getting a bit ridiculous, no matter what i keep getting war declared on me every 2-3 days after making peace despite my relations being positive with those factions (thanks to charm, etc) freeing lords, gifts,etc....

i think this is due to conspiracy quest which is BS and should be removed from the game, tbh i dont think we even need a story, sandbox and nice diplomacy would be enough. But right now it feels like a slog, everytime i get castle or town and prepare for the next suddenly i need to rush back long way across my current kingdom to relief a besieged castle/town because factions randomly declare war for nothing....despite relations like like +17 or more with their kings and lords, defeating them over and over and over...they keep coming....

any way to just get rid of this behaviour or be just sandbox, no story bs?

I don't know.. I haven't actually GOTTEN to the end game yet so it is perhaps silly of me to opine, but it seems to me the thing to do is get as much trade going as you can in the backfield and secure your fiefs as best you can and then just repeatedly nail the enemies large armies and hope that drains them to where your side wins.

People also get to a stage where they can't stay at war long enough to win the last city or two, and that seems to be for some negotiation with nobles to get them to defect with their fief.

What is wrong with these strats?
Maybe the boreness to have to siege thousand of castle for your king, or hundred for yourself, because while you get one, two of yours are attacked, and i'm this player who sometime like to wander here and there. It may be possible to win, but it would not be funny, for my part, the bugs and not-completed part of the game have pissed me off long before the end ... still i try another one for the third time ... i'm illogical

time to say goodbye to my kingdom, castles and cities, my bazillion gold, my army made of tier 5-6 units........... time to rebuild the Chicken McNuggets Empire again, poor and with couple of peasants avoiding raiders and looters all over again :(
Surprised you've had one playthrough so long! I've restarted so many times I've lost count.

well its simple, mix of determination and stubbornness. but it was not always a smooth ride....

If the desire is to remove the quest and be able to create your own kingdom, there are two console commands for it:

- finish current quest
- create player kingdom

for them to work, you need to install the developer console mod. Look for it on Nexus. That's all that you need.

To be honest, though, running your own kingdom in vanilla is no fun at all. Constant war, traitor lords constantly abandoning you, nothing fun to do but try to jungle the traitor lords and conquer as quickly as possible. to what point, noone knows.

i get it, but i think i will put the game on hold for few months and let them add more content that is not yet there and see if things gets more dynamic. Sure mods ALWAYS makes more fun, i agree but even with mods, there is no doubt that many things are yet to be on the game.

i kinda agree and disagree, i had fun running my kingdom but what makes it unfun is the story/quests makes it an exercise on frustration. war with 2-3 faction every few days forever for no good reason... it as right now reminds me of Shogun 2 Total War, as soon you claim shogunate (i believe capture kyoto) the game decides its 241423132132 remaining factions waging war against you... its like This is your goal. Now we punish you for acomplish your goal.....

yes, i started as vlandian, i captured perhaps 3/4 of the castles, cities and King D1ckhert always self elected himself to get it, after hours i got a poor fief on a poor area..geeeez thanks!!! So I decided to leave and create my kingdom and Vlandians are nearly gone without me... KARMA lol

it is possible to win as it is but this is reaching a point that is a slog, crawl...... i spend half of the time capturing one place than run back to avoid losing other across the map... this points to diplomacy in truth doesn't exist yet....

idk..... i'm taking a break on this game, i feel burnout but i will for sure return later, but for how much i played the game already paid for itself, so thats good news.
Okay so I have been wondering this too. Apparently (I haven't tried this) the conspiracy quest can be disabled using the Developer Console (https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/4) with the commands:

campaign.complete_active_quest Stop Conspiracy

campaign.complete_active_quest Arzagos's Conspiracy

(and presumably the second one can be replaced by "campaign.complete_active_quest Istiana's Conspiracy")

(source: https://www.reddit.com/r/mountandblade/comments/fyingo/for_everyone_who_arent_able_to_do_stop_conspiracy/)

(and I haven't read all the posts on this thread so apologies if someone's already tried this but it doesn't work.)

EDIT:
So I tried this and it worked, but needed to replace "Istiana's Conspiracy" with "Istiana's Plan" (that's what it's actually called in the game)

But there might be a better way of doing this: TML Tweak and Bugfix Mod https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/692 lets you (temporarily) turn the Conspiracy off, the idea being that if it is every fixed you can turn it back on and it should still work (unlike I think the first fix above where it would be marked as completed and so not show up again)
