i have a few responses, but ... no.
I will say, i've captured some caravan cavalry - it's just- so hard to catch them.
in the playthrough i just ended ( it was broken end-state..."peace broke out" one too many times)
- i had so much cavalry i had to strt dumping them at a garrison to make room for infantry- which made me sad...
but they just couldn't "hammer" if i had no"anvil" to hold the line - well not as well as i wanted them to, so, had to have more anvil.
That sounds like 1st world problems- but, you could consider recruiting more in the cavalry-heavy factions locales
