Favourite Weapon - and why
My favourite weapon was abit of an accident. I have been trying 2 handed swords and wanted to make a katana style sword, instead the curve was way to.... curvey lol and hated the look. Soon as I used it though, seems to just mow people down and not had nearly as much issues with hit box then my other swords. I use this blade now instead of the tier 5 blades.... at least untill i unlock more =D. How about you ?

(just wish I actually named it)

not fussed for the weapon, but the armour looks nice.

Started using a glaive on horseback in my last play. Wish it fell under 2H perk list instead of the lame pole-arm list (most perks are wasted cause you can't couch a glaive). HOWEVER... thing is awesome.

From the word go I could one hit people... just golf swing it off the side of my horse as I rode by. And it's great vs cav too... has enough reach that you aren't boxed out by the size of the two horses which sometimes seems to happen with a sword.

Even on foot... just wide swings and BAM things die.

There's not enough time for Peace in my playthrough for me to fully enjoy crawling up the Blacksmith ladder. I literally can't "rest." I'm too busy playing whack-a-mole with hostile Lords and their armies.

My advice - Players should level Blacksmithing before they become a Lord if they want to actually "enjoy" doing it.

(Playing as a Lord, too, and not in the somewhat broken/kludgy "Player Faction" mechanics.)

My sword looks very similar, I opted for a different blade and less reach (gotta hit that 100+ swing speed for the 2H bonuses that probably don't work yet).

But my favorite weapon is some ridiculously long, cutting, poking, couchable monstrosity of a 2H polearm. Why? Because I basically just swing it back and forth riding through patches of enemies and the length of the cutting pointy bit means I pretty much never miss and one-stroke most everything.

A two handed axe i got as battle loot a couple games back that i haven't been able to find since. It had 138 cut damage and around 120 length, and was even more fun than the manivilion of doom. I've been trying to find or craft another one ever since, but no luck yet.

Bows always felt like junk until I finally got the skill got in the 80s. Once they reliably shoot where you are aiming and you get a good bow you can start shooting people off their mounts from horseback. Bows are my bag now, but cutting polearms are just so dominant (and fun).

I was lucky enough to unlock the warrazor recipe in one playthrough. The one I made felt kinda broken with 85 spd, 185 length, 150+ dmg.

I don't like warlord's pauldrons much, i prefer fur or lamellar gloves, boots and shoulders.

The best fur is the light brown icon one i forgot the name of it as shoulders.

If i play as Vlandian or Imperials i always use lamellar.

2 handed axe, because ride-by is awesome

I went for blacksmith first route, currently 272 on it. Created a long 2h sword with 146 lenght & 130 something damage and named it GUTS. Now me, my wife and all 7 companions are all using that sword like a beast. Just that...too bad it is completely useless on sieges lol.

Also made a ninjato-like 112 speed short 2h(110 or 105 lenght), was not really impressed with it; after passing 100 speed it feels like it does not make too much difference to me.
