Siege camp
Why does it take so much to build? I have a companion set to engineer in the clan with 80 engineering skill, and building this simple siege camp takes almost a week. pretty absurd, is this intended or a bug from me?

Same here. Too long siege preparing. High-skilled engineer companion in a party with clan role selected just don't get any xp during siege at all, while my character with different clan role levels up consistently. Which indicates that sieging is not using my companion's skill. Had to abandon the game 2 weeks ago, still waiting for a patch or workaround

Would be nice if someone who played tells us why it happens

I'm not sure, but I believe the speed it takes to get the siege camp up also depends on how many people are in your party/army. I usually siege with at least 300 soldiers and it never takes more than a day or two to make the siege camp. I have 51 in engineering and no party engineer.

Yes, your army size has a huge effect on how fast everything is built. Your engineering skill contributes very little to the building speed of things.
100 men can't be expected to build a siege camp in a day and siege weapons take long to build. Over 1000 men do these things much faster.
And I think this is absolutely fine the way it is. One man can't do manual labor faster than 10 guys no matter how high engineering skill he has.

I see, makes sense. I only had like 60 people. Hopefully will be ok with 100

...and I have some doubts that the engineer role given to one of your companion is implemented yet...

I mean: if any engineer skill is actually taken into accounts at the acctual state of the game (which I am really not sure), it is more likely to be the one of your own character.

Your companion cant be an engineer. engineering companions are for governors, not for leading your siege parties. At least as of now an engineering companion in your party doesn't help you at a siege at all, you need to level up your own engineering skill. Also I haven't noticed too much of a difference on a speed of setting up the actual siege camp but the siege engines get built faster at higher level and supposesdly do more damage, idk everything but walls gets 1hit most of the time anyway.
