Stop Conspiracy quest? (SPOILER! possible campaign story spoilers)

I will try not to spoil too much. But the "Stop conspiracy" quest is very vague. It says "try to stop the conspiracy" and it gives no guidance. Istiana's plan keeps up ticking because I fail it and have no guidance. When I try to talk to arzagos I freeze in the conversation.

What am I even suppose to do to complete the quest?

Also side question, has anyone else dealt with the weird graphics glitch that makes all your Battanian NPC's walking meatballs?
