Lartusys's is the city. Anyways it says to leave and track her. Does this happen on the world map automatically? Or do I have to press a button? Also it says if I can't find here there are clues on the map. What sorts of clues do I even look for? The map seems really huge to try and search it all for a clue.

Also at the same time I figured talking to him again would give me a clue since I have no idea what to do, but instead just got an error can't find text in response and crash. Should I just abandon the quest?

it'll highlight villages where she might be and you can ask the villagers there if they have seen anything suspicious and they'll tell you what village they did see them at. In the village, hold Alt and you'll see names in the distance. Ride to the groups of two and see if it's the kidnapper and the kidnapped.
