How do I equip horses?

I know how to do it for my own character but how do I do it for my soldiers?

There's a horse equipment slot somewhere near the bottom of your equipment screen, either under or above the horse slot itsself.

For soldiers, no, for companions, just like you equip yourself.
Soldiers can be upgraded to have horses however when they level up tiers.

You can right click on a soldier i think to bring up their leveling tree and check out on which path the become cavalary units.

For troops you need to train them up and upgrade them into a mounted type (assuming they can be).

Can confirm that sumpter horse (in inventory) would not allow my Khazuit Nomads to upgrade but the desert horse (in inventory) did allow them to upgrade. I wonder if each faction is limited to which breed of horse they can upgrade with.

Oh, you need to level them up! I only played a little bit so far and man am I loving this game!
