Friendly fire can be set in the options. Its at 1/3 as a default (Which is "Easy")

Yes but it only works for arrows, not for melee damage and not for the AI itself, right?
I refunded the game because of this.

That's wrong though. You could hit your own soldiers with melee attacks in Warband.

No, you never could. Only arrows.

Weird, I must have played a mod that enabled this then. Also like I said above, for me it kills the atmosphere if I see my friendlies firing arrows into friendlies and nothing happens. Or friendlies constantly hitting friendlies with their axe and nothing happens.

It's just my personal opinion by the way. I don't wanna ruin the fun for anyone. I'm sure it's a great game but I expected something different, I expected improvements in combat, battle atmosphere and to the combat/fighting in general, instead I feel like the combat is worse than in Warband.

That's possible of course.

Your own archers by the way never hit friendlies in M&B, only you yourself could.

You could hit your own guys with couched lances but not normal attacks in warband

I know, I just really really expected that improvement or at least an option for global friendly fire.
It seems like barely any improvements I really looked forward to are in the game, unfortunately.
