Just press N go to heroes and it will tell you where that person was last. Talk to 1 noble and ask them about it, they will say a name knows about it then just go to that guy using N to guide you.

you are not supposed to do it right away. Go explore the world and you'll encounter them eventually. It took me 400 days to finish it.

I want to do it right away to get to the kingdom building stages, I have played all the previous mount and blade games and I never had fun till I got to that stage, where I get to have my very own kingdom and it is the same here, I am not having much fun but I am sure when I get to the kingdom stage I will start loving it like I did with the previous games }

so what are the noble names?
Talk to a noble, any noble (bribing your way to a castle or talk to one in the field), Ask about the battle. They'll either have info for you, or direct you to a specific person.

Click on that persons name, or hit N to bring up the encyclopedia and enter their name. This will tell you the last place they visited (Updated everytime you go to a city). Click on the city they where last seen at/by and track it.

head that direction, Checking their location via N each day. Talk to them and ask about the battle. You'll get voiced dialogue and check a noble off your list.

Then repeat from step one until complete. Don't worry about rushing it, you have 3 in game years.

You get told their names by talking to nobles.

That's why step one is "Talk to a noble, any noble (bribing your way to a castle or talk to one in the field), Ask about the battle. "

Most heroes are nobles(Note: Hero does not mean companion, essentially zero companions are nobles). Nobles can be either found in keeps, or on the field in armies or leading their own warband.

yeah I have a couple of names already but they are miles gone by the time I get there?

Like for example this just happened "derthbert is at x castle - last seen today" so I make my way there but then when I talked to a noble he was suddenly half way across the map again?

I even resorted to using that insta transport cheat , but even with me zooming around the map and with a high scout area so I see loads around me I have yet to see one , and I have been at it an hour

This usually happens when they get captured. That's why you need to check in at towns on your way there, because like I said that updates the encyclopedia.

Lords are usually on the move too, so it can take a few days to find them if they aren't staying at home.

Often they are bouncing between villages to recruit, or chasing another army, or heading to a siege.

B-Lining for them will probably just be the same as simply playing the game meaning you're still going to have to keep the money and food coming in, so its not like the battles will stop, you'll just be like 'wtf are these lords' the entire time you're playing lol.

Yeah, I did direct trade to raise up my first 50k before pledging as a vassal and took care of it them. Just loaded up and went on longer trade runs in the direction the Lord was indicated at. It takes awhile, but it really helps to NOT hyperfocus on the quest goal, but rather to just treat it as a secondary objective.

How do you become a vassel? and I am at 5 now anyway, as said I have been just zooming around the map

Talk to any noble, they will give you the option to join their faction.

IIRC you can join as a mercencary to anyone, but joining as a vassal requires speaking to the faction leader.

ahh thanks! is there anyway to save a captured lord? 3 of the ones I am tracking are prisoners xD
