Anyone else stuck in early game?
For the past 5 games I've started I can't get out of the early game. I've been grinding my way through tournaments and looters to buy smithies and caravans. But recently, none of these ventures are making any money whatsoever; I have 2 caravans running right now and a smithy and am currently making about 100 denars a day with an army of only 15 fully trained guys. My clan is up to level 3 and I literally can't make enough money consistently to start mid-game. I don't know if it's something I'm doing or what but I'm stuck and lost. Thanks for the help!

Kill higher quality armies. Sell prisoners, sell loot, and make around 2-20k per victory.

I don't understand how you have so little money if you have both caravans and workshops going. Maybe you need to change some of the workshops to make more money, based on what local towns produce. Also the caravans take some time to get going, so if you only just set them up, you need to give it a bit of time.
keep making workshops and caravans and then swear oath to a faction and raid some villages

Step 1: make some early money through trading, soloing bandits, quests (daughter quests gives 1,5k and is easy), etc.

Step 2: get some units and food.

Step 3: find looter groups and use 'send troops' option to level your troops up quickly.

Step 4: repeat step 3 until you have a decent army.

Step 5: fight harder battles with better loot and sell said loot.

Step 6: profit.

Village raiding is useless. It gives barely any money and isn't like in warband.

I went broke once, into the red, right after I bought my first caravan.

Once the caravan money kicked in, it was smooth sailing, right up to a million coins.

All I did was fight for the first 50 hours. Then I added two more caravans.

Then spent my last 8 hours playing this game doing trade.

My caravans pulled in 500-3,000 each. They were in Sturgia territory.

I'm not sure what else to tell you, or why you're not making money.

Be careful with mods. They can affect the game.

My workshop only caps out at 200 denars per day which covers 200 of the 350 for my army. The 2 caravans don't make anything and cost a lot to the point where money isn't rolling in like it used to. Before 1.5 it worked fine but now I can't make any money.

You need to join a kingdom and benefit from war. if you rob peasants of course you can only get dirty rags and pitchforks. They are not secretly rich. You need to rob the kings and barons. As it stands right now, you can fight armies at least twice your size if you have a reasonably trained army, and you can fight enemies out numbers you 5 to 1 if you are playing on easy because the AI troops are of very poor quality. Over 60% of them are peasants.

If you really want to get yourself set up and going into the real game with a lot of power, but you don't like grinding, just cheat. Also I don't notice any change in caravan profit, they make eventually make around 1000 on most days in all my games.

Sign up as a mercenary and start raiding enemy caravans.

Bulktrading can net you some massive profits, only surpassed by massive warfare.
Usually (that means unless the place is ravaged by war) you get cheap wood and hogs by the battanians, cheap grain and fish by the aserai (left corner) and cheap iron by the kuzhait.

Make a path across the world, pick up those items (unless they wage war there) and boost trade and your money.

Caravans are nerfed already. This method is outdated now.
Same as workshops on release brought huge incomes, but not anymore.

I cant even get to late game, due to the continuous snowballing right around what i would consider mid-game. I shouldnt be forced to take part in the steamroll or fight it if my campaign isnt even to 15 hours yet.

once you get a full party go attack a minor faction. they drop loads of good loot for the early game as well as get you plenty of renown.

If you like to trade, but are fed up having to buy / sell each item one by one, use this mod to Auto Trade and make lots of Denars :
https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/135?tab=description

Makes the whole trading experience much smoother.
