Nah. (Though I confess, I wouldn't mind each Empire faction having a unique elite branch.)
there already is one which tries that:

Also, you seem to think that it's hard to tell where you are because of the Empire blob? Thats not at all why. Compared to Warband, the map was a lot more varied. Swadians had flat land, Rhodoks were mountains, Nords were in the North, etc.
80% if the map, from Vlandia to the Empire, are all just mountains and trees. I wish they went back to the original map philosophy, because currently the map is impossible to read at a glace. A problem I never had in Warband.
As an example i started and played most of my hours around Lyracron. I remember leaving that area and happened to be walking back through the same area but I didnt notice at all. It's just confusing.
all 3 empires have different colors to distinquish them.
what are you talking about? they shared like 1 armor and 1 retextured one, thats it.
but thats not really comparable anyway since vaegir and khergit are supposed to be different while the empire is supposed to be 1 empire in civil war.
Uh? All the three empire factions are shown on the map and have different colors.
Khergits like heavily rely on mounted warriors while Vaegirs are balanced.
