How to find 10 nobles for the quest fast?
Is there a strategy to find the 10 nobles relatively fast? I mean for me it looks mostly random to find them :/

As far as i mentioned out, there are two nobles of every Faction. Everytime its the faction leader + another Noble guy.

Ask nobles on the road, they will direct you to a person that can answer your question. Click their name in the message or search that name through the encyclopedia(N). It will tell you their last known location, while going there check periodically along the way for any updated info

press N on wolrd map.

click "home" in the top left of the new window (if it isnt already)

click "kingdoms" and you see the leader. click on the portrait.
top right tells you where they have been seen last.
click on it and mark it on your map.

that gives you 8 nobles and the last 2 probably cross your way while searching for them.
also you can trade an train your party on the way

I'm too much of a savage to even do such things

Is it important?

not surprised anymore, given how many dumb limitations have been put into this game, for a sandbox game it's pretty damn restrictive, can't have more than x companions, can't have more than x businesses, what's next, can only have 1 piece of armor?!

guess won't be having my own kingdom then, will just keep on slaughtering them all

The question I have is are the 16 nobles present in every playthrough, or does the game "activate" 10 out of the sixteen for the quest? In other words, do you have 16 chances to get 10 answers, or only 10 chances?

There are more than 10 nobles. Not all of them can help you with the quest - they say you have to speak to some other nobles. Although there are more then 10 which count for the quest, i.e. i got 3 nobles counted from the Aseray

If you ask the non quest nobles they give you a name of someone who knows something, so I just used N to find their last location.

just explore the map at max in game speed and when you see a blue exclamation click it to interact.

Yes like all said you can use N to find where the guy is but its so hard to catch them on map.
A better idea is to patrol around their home settlement. They seem to visit their home settlement quite often even if they're at war. You can also see their home on N.

Yeah I did that, saw Garious - one of the lords. Went to talk to him and instead of normal dialogue he immedietaly orderedme to surrender (I had 20 trained chaps with me but he had entire effin army so...).

So far only battles I fought were against looters and bandits and I have not pledged myself to anyone yet or pissed of anyone either so I have no idea why his reaction was immidietaly so hostile?

What's your criminal rating with his faction and relationship with the lord?
