Giving fiefs to my newly acquired clans
So I persuaded a clan to join my kingdom but I can’t figure out how to give them and cites or castles.

When I open the kingdom tab and go to click give settlement to another clan it says u can’t annex the ruling clans fiefs which is me so I am a little confused

If I understand so far, you cant...Developers needs to switch diplomacy on in the game, because right now, it is very limited for your own kingdom.

So pretty much all the lords I get are gonna be landless, that’s lame as hell

Thats not right, you actually CAN give fiefs to your Vassals. BUT not the ones you already had before they joined. You need to capture a settlement and if you have vassals there will start a Vote for it right after.

you can remove the garrisons and hope the enemy AI takes them from you so you can quickly take them back and give them to newer lords.

if the AI can't take them without garrisons, theres really no need to give the clans those castles. just conquer more stuff to give to them.

AFAIK its just possible after you conquered some new Land OR if the Clan has enough influence they can spend it to start a Vote for a fief. But they dont do this really often... i dont know exactly what circumstances stimulate them to do so.

You can summon them with army and barter with them to give the fief you want to give them.
But having that option in kingdom menu and without the need for high trading skills will be a lot better ofc.

I tired that but how do u give them land I couldn’t see a option to do that
Complex Chaos Apr 7, 2020 @ 2:50am
Is it a trade skill u need to acquire to gift land?
Goobzor Apr 7, 2020 @ 2:51am
i think you can go up to people and trade a fief. but that may not be in the game yet. i just noticed the fief area when getting married. can also just give it to them as a gift. but again not sure its in the game.

it is implementet and its called "Trade Fiefs" so like the name says you only can trade them and yes, its a high trading perk you need to learn.

Don't bother giving them anything - they can join other clans and all the stuff you gave them switches to their new kingdom. if you convince and pay a clan them to join you, their castles and cities don't switch to your empire though. Don't know if its broken or just part of the game, but having your own kingdom is awful.

Go find the clan leader on the map and initiate a barter. There you can give him a fief and ask for one gold in return.

That's how it's supposed to be. Lords most often will not take their fiefs with them when defecting (although it has happened to me and I was pissed)

You'll need to get capture some new provinces then assign them via the kingdom election, you can't give fiefs controlled but the ruling clan over, so make sure you're smart about which fiefs you claim for yourself as currently you cannot change your mind after the fact.
