They are the only ways I get morale.
B) Food variety... all of those different food items exist for a reason
C) More horses. The faster you are, the more fights you can win.
early its pritty impossible to level. it levels fast with armies. however i been thinking about the only other ability that can increase moral besides leadership and food variety.
rougery.
10% more moral from raiding villages which means before you can make armies you could raid enemy villages and get more moral gain early. its a rank 3 ability whhich means you would have to invest a lot of points in creation for it. which is contrary to what you would think but most of the stats in this game are.
this basicly breaks down the game money wise into 2 sections. quests and trade or combat and trade.
i recently made a character purely focused on leadership. max social with charm and leadership i avoided every other stats i could and when progressing avoided leveling any other stats.
get charm to 50 points get 20% more renown from battles get leadership by building armies then auto resolving battles to rank up my clan.
by the time i was clan rank 2 i was still gettting x14 rate on leadership currently my character is level 12 with 120 leadership x 8,73 rate.
i started to waste xp points because i was so bord but basicly you make the character max charm leadership social then put points into whatever weapon you want ect i went for maces too sell for 3k early to build an army fast.
then put atheletic points ect but in game never walk alway ride use the lowest ranking skills you have. never fight. never do quests. never bribe.
the thing is it still took me a long time to get too rank 2 and then even more time just sitting with an army.
you get more leadership for commanding larger armies. which cost influence. and you get passive leadershp building armies and having high moral. i only saw it change after getting about 80 moral.
early in the game its basicly impossible to get it above 60.
not sure how much you get for raiding but 10% more might be enough to level it. plus if you level roughery it will get you more money.
there is really only 2 leadership perks you want later on and right now im about to hit disciplinarian lvl 12. but the thing is if i speced into and gathered more influence points i would be able to build large armies much faster and more often leveling it even more and allow me to do more in the game. i still get a lot of influence ect but is it faster to lead the massive armies to lvl with lower focus points.
what i am gathering here though is leadership is a pain. and requires you too wait so long too get it done.
one of the best skill combos is merry men and disciplinarian. so making roughery helps ealry for more moral and later for synergy. also lets you build armies faster which in turn gives more leadership.
also maxing roughery means you can max tactics so auto resolves are faster and if your going for xp in leadership this also means you can get more faster because you can auto resolve battles. the only other option is 2 hand xp gain which is great but yeah maxing this also means you can max scouting which will let you travel faster which means more xp faster. more targets open to take. also gives you the hardest hp bonus to get 8 hp. so if you want your character to be a beast on the battlefield you are gonna want it at some point.
charm helps you get more troops from villagess ect but you also can do that by quests and sitting there after you rule an area.
it helps with quests early and enemies later and early renown. trade just there for money. but you will get money through rougery.
all im saying is even if you focus purely on leadership its going to take you ages. and this kinda path will let you level it ealier but also let you play the game instead of sitting around. tech you dont even have to level roughy you could just leave it alone and never sell bandits ect. scout and tactis would level up but again.
to keep high moral you need many fights many sources or moral gain and speed auto resolves food , victories and raiding are all early sources off moral gain.
