Dealing With Large Bandit Hideouts
After about 10 hours into the game, I noticed that a lot of the bandit hideouts are absolutely teeming with enemies, with over 50+ bandits being a regular sight.
Considering you can take up to like 5 guys with you and can't even choose these unlucky 5, the mission is already over when a group of 20 bandits surrounds your group and rips them apart. I found that you can cheese a little by killing as many bandits as you can and then retreating from the battle when you're outmatched, but this is extremely slow and tedious because you have to keep running back in to wipe out the rest. This is further exacerbated if you get hurt and need to wait to heal, as this gives the bandits a chance to heal their wounded as well.
I've also sat around and waited to see if these groups of bandits eventually leave their hideout, but they seem content picking their noses in camp.
Should I just give up on these bigger hideouts, or is there another way to come after them?

I feel like a broken record at this point... Download bannerlord tweaks, it'll fix the problem.

Sorry if there are other discussions about this, I literally just put down the game to write about it. But you suggesting that I mod the problems out confirms for me that the whole sneaking in with 10 dudes when you have 150 men ready to go day or night is utter nonsense, lol. Good to know

People report that the groups do leave the hideout, but I never saw this happen in person. Maybe the bandits in hideouts replace the bandit parties that get killed in the fields? This needs investigation.

I've seen it happen once; but it's very rare from what I can tell.

I have got some hideout with only 2 or 1 parties in there. and if there are only 1, you will face the bandit boss immediately after into the combat

tip. The way i do it is
I attack the bandit hideout and then i use bow and arrow.
Note you can even pickup more arrows from killed bandits so you get more.
And then shoot from a distance and take them out one by one with your own soldiers in the rear as backup. Try to only fight one bandit at a time if possible.
IF you die/knocked out then press tab and choose to retreat.
Now just wait for the next day and repeat.. take out x bandits and then retreat.
Repeat again and again.
At some point you have killed all bandits except 5 and then you see a cut scene where the bandit leader ask you for a duel.
If you loose this duel bad things happen, so i recommend to choose not to fight a duel and then just walk backwards and let your troops kill the bandits.
= win.

This strategy work for me.
