This does work, maybe it should say something about it in game.
How much goods are carried matters to and not sure about skills or the scouting role in party screen.
I have a lot of horses, and my speed is almost always 6.2 with an army of 90. It goes down a bit when I get lots of prisoners/loot.
At the moment, I can pretty much catch every one on the map.
PS: The cheapest horse does not add any map speed. (the horse which requires no riding skill to use...forgot the name)
How is that stupid? "Somehow" they are attached? They are attached because you are allowing your footmen to ride horses for transportation so that you can move at a decent rate, because you are an intelligent commander. Or at least that's the assumption the game is making, perhaps it should reconsider.
Morale speeds you up. Cavalry units are MUCH faster than soldiers. Wounded soldiers slow you down, as do prisoners, as does cargo.
hello from the future!
guess what!
It's gotten worse!
Theres way more mechanics, icons, numbers, and more! and nary a tooltip explanation to be found!
