Why I only get crap loot?

Every time I defeat a comparable army, I expect nice rewards - powerful weapons and strong armor. But for 150+ days I have got 2 mail shirts and some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ swords, fighting troops of every culture

I fought every faction in this game with exception of Empires, my roguery level is 64

Just killed 400 khuzaits and battanians and received some rags with the 16 body armor value

Depends on what troops they have. If they have all low tier troops then you will get low tier gear. It usually happens when they are getting slaughtered and can't train their troops up.

loot depends on what you are killing, if you are killing low level scum you get low level loot, if you kill high tier knights then you get good loot, also i seem to remember that the loot is divided between parties, were you fighting them alone or joined in a battle already happening? i think the first party to start a battle is the one getting dibs on the loot

I think loot is shared between the army too, so you are also only getting a fraction of it.

I was fighting alone

You won't get everything from the fight, most likely your soldiers would loot some stuff for themselves. So even if the enemy has higher tier troops, it may not appear in the loot list.

But it wasn't so bad in Warband or VC, what's wrong with this game?

Your expectations maybe?

High tier armor is only going to drop rarely. But you should still be getting enough loot to gain tens of thousands of denar from decent sized battles, letting you just buy the armor.
