How can you get renown quickly?

So far its been a slog to get to clan level 3. The main source right now is arena battles, which gives like 3 renown so its taking forever. All the quests Im getting dont give renown, is there something Im missing here?

At this rate itll probably take hours and hours to farm enough renown to progress the story.

If you are already tier 2, get a decent amount of money, a mid tier party of 40-50. now declare war on a faction, I would not recommend khuzait, they have fast movement on campaign map. your mid tier party should decently beat any other troops at the same size. this should yield more renown as well as a ton of money. you don't even have to open caraven or workshop yet. raid their villages, bait lords out, if lose troops, force them to give recruits. you get to tier 3 and a ton of money in no time. be brutal! I recommend the nords. they use infantry, can't catch up with you on campaign map. but their skirms are deadly though.

I would say that doing Bandit Hideouts and doing battles against bandits with small party, you get more xp, money and renown doing this way. But it means you have to limit your Army, say around 15-20 elite troops, or try 10 if you really enjoy the challenge, you will make more and more renown for winning such battles where you are outnumbered.

Some Hideouts give a lot of renown, as they have many troops and you only take 8 guys with you, but you got to be very tactical and careful when doing them, they can be dangerous if you rush and don't take care

Ive been farming hideouts for awhile but I dont think Im getting renown. After clearing them it will say gained 2 reputation with nearby notables, but it doesnt report renown gain. You sure about this?

Maybe was outside of a Mission, but I distinctly remember seeing 8 renown in one of them, was really impressed and thought to myself, that I should do more like that.

fighting lords gets me around 10 renown and influence each depending on how strong the enemy is.

Renown reward is based upon what you face and the odds.
If you are badly outnumbered and the odds are ♥♥♥♥, you'll get a massive amout of renown.
If you badly outnumber them, you'll get low renown.

Easiest way is waging wars.
