And, what if you choose a lowborn start? You are nothing more than the leader of a band of brigands in the eyes of nobles, how would that be possible if you just run around and marry ladies/lords?
I recruited them in a tavern for 1000 denars i barely even know them.
*developers make it happen.
People here are just finding stupid excuses for Taleworlds.
But a modding community isn't bad. They can often do a better job than the developers themselves... In some cases. Not saying this is always the case.
Yeah, like they fight a long side you everyday, they are the closest people to you a long with your soldiers, they should've already developed a certain level of friendship with you.
Holy crap, that would be sick! Please write more stories and develop missions for the companions, TW.
They're also specced wonkily. There will be a guy designed to be your party's scouter. His scouting skill will be 80, which is good for a start for sure, except his basic Cunning is only 2, making it very hard to make him improve on it for a long time.
Given voice acting isn't required, this seems something modders could do quite easily.
The perk to doing something like this is that if you're ever captured, you automatically get your spouse, so you don't have to go looking for him/her.
