You can never defend your territory
Clan level is so hard to increase and you are stuck with some 70 guys trying to defend your land against 400 army.... Your lord gives you lands at random but you will be permanently sieged. How can you possibly think of defending it.

The lands that you are typically 'rewarded' with are on the front lines. If their army decides to take it and your army doesnt decide to stop them, well....

Getting stuck in a bad siege is a game ender since all the M&B games. One of the reasons the game is so good. There are a few ways that it can end because of bad moves that take experience to learn really.

I actually like how he gives you territory on the Frontlines. I see what he did there. Gives me the crappiest, hardest to keep land because no one else will want the aggro.

Smart on his part.

I wish there are more diplomatic options or at least give us more castle management options such as manual soldier recruitment. Otherwise it is pointless to have any castles or cities since you won't bother managing them since they will be gone within a week. There is never any time to actually improve it too since you have no time >.>

Not to mention that relation hit with the stupid vote systems. They should change it to you increase relation to who you vote for and minus for who you do not. And not voting should have no penalty. I hate having to make decision except making everyone hates you for no reason.

Gaining clan level is easy. Just go raid villages of enemy kingdoms. You don't even have to finish the raid, just start the raid and send your troops in to kill the townfolk off. Then leave and move on to the next village. Renown will go up pretty quickly that way. Or you can kill looters and other bandit type groups. Or you can take out bandit hideouts. That's all pretty easy to do early on in the game. You can get to clan level 4 very fast that way. As for how to defend your territory, don't bother with it until you have at least 100+ men in your party (you can go over the 70 limit temporarily and go fight a battle before your men desert you). And always fill your garrison up as quickly as you can so your holding is less attractive of a target. And then once you have enough influence, you can create an army and recruit other vassals to help you take your land back or break a siege.

I didn't even notice I was given a castle, I was too busy kicking the ♥♥♥♥ out of the empire. They never even got close to it. Executed Lucon and the war ended shortly after. Might have been a fair bit of luck involved though.

I haven't actually noticed a relation penalty for abstaining, I think its just a tooltip error.

My issue is influence is so damn hard to get. I am always like 8 or so and randomly became -200 or more for some reason. Man all I ever do is force them to hand over supplies and then raiding them. But nothing ever increases. I razed all the villages around since I have nothing better to do. Caravans also means I have infinite money. Clan level is so hard to level. I donate prisoners and soldiers too. Fight in wars capture lords but the pace is rip

Really? I saw the red text on bottom left saying abstaining will have - relation with both factions. And the sad part is there are so many decisions. And as time goes on I am at - relation with everyone for absolutely no reason.

I noticed that my garrisons eat my food stores like crazy when I put them over 200, which is a super hassle.
