cant hire companions
when i talk to them i just dont have the option in the dialogue. must be some requiement i do not meet or something

You can only have a certain amount depending on your clan level, and you need to have enough money

What's your clan tier? The higher the tier the more companions you can have. Along those lines if you can't recruit ANY companions be sure you're talking to the right people, the various gang leaders/tradesmen of the towns are not companions, you're looking for those special individuals with a sob story in the tavern.
