How to increase riding skill very fast?

I am still stuck with that stumpter horse, while I have a very good horse, won by a tournament. But I can't ride it due to my low skill. I have spent very much skill points, but it doesn't increase

Ride horses. Litterally. Mounted warfare helps it a bit aswell. There's no other way

Dealing damage from horseback did it for me. I play as a horse archer and riding is my highest skill.

It takes time, alot of time riding around on the world map or in battle.

Yeah, I ride very much but it won't increase. Is riding enough, or do you always need to deal damage?

Lots and lots of riding. I think the grind could be nerfed, honestly. If it's really bothering you, cheat. Otherwise, just ride, ride, ride! Use your focus points too.

Simple, raise the multiplyer. More focuse points into riding and attribute point to the attribute governing it.

ah, ok, so if you shoot from your horse with a bow, it will increase your skill too? You don't need to do melee combat?

Even with multiplier, skills level up quite slow. I think the whole leveling skill passives are bugged and almost ALL perks are either bugged or not implemented yet.

I'm using a mounted archer build, and I get riding skill points without moving a step in battle and just spamming arrows at people.

With full 5 focus points its not that slow. Some passives are not working, that is true, i am sure they fix that soon.

This, I have 200k gold and ridden up and down the land with armies of hundreds fighting and pillaging yet I can barely ride anything better than a sumpter horse. Skill progression is quite bad. Luckily though, outside of gating you off from items it seems like the skills are meaningless right now and you can still dominate in combat with lower skills

With riding 10 you can ride a desert horse, which is great and quiet fast, slap expensive armor on on, which you can afford, and you be fine.
You dont need to ride a sumpter horse.

The faster your speed while dealing damage, the more experience you get. Atleast to me it feels that way.
