Why isnt a castle mine after taking it
What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I captured a castle, and it says its owned by the ruler of the Empire I'm in. I then went to the Kingdom tab, and immediately got a popup asking if I want to resolve the castle I just took or whatever. I dont know what that means (English is not my first language) , so I clicked cancel, because I thought it meant if I wanted to give away my castle. Like hell no, it took 5 sieges to finally get it, and now it's just gone..?

lol

EDIT: if you want to decide you need to be king, make your own kingdom and you keep everything you take.
If you only vasall you have to play by the rules of vasall.

The Ruler decides who gets it, every castle/town taken is voted upon by the vassals to decide who gets it, sometimes the ruler can just take it for himself though if he wants it.

Happened to me too. Your reputation of your clan is low, so it does not matter who take the castle, all other kingdom clans will vote for someone else.

The only one hating me in the kingdom was the acual king, so I released my oath from him, fought his army, captured him, and then executed him, and took the castle back from them for myself.

if your in a kingdom it belongs to your king, not you regardless of if you capture it just like feudal law.
Its then up to your king who gets it and the popup you cancelled is your chance to pay influence to get votes to have it given to you.
regardless of if you capture it or not you may not even get put forward for the vote i have captured around 15 castles and 10 cities now and i have only been given 2 castles and 0 cities so being a vassals seems a bit of a ♥♥♥♥ deal.

Everything you do is for your king. Leave the kingdom you are in and conquer something on your own. That way you can keep it.

The popup is asking you to vote on who gets the castle. Your king will decide between two or three lords which one will get the castle. You serve your king, and your king gets the say in who land goes to. Just because you captured it doesn't make it "yours". You captured it in the name of your kingdom.

If you started your own kingdom, on the other hand... Well, your subjects would expect lands, but there'd be no obligation whatsoever to not give yourself everything. :)

did you forget your oath to your King when you join the kingdom? :d

I would like to do this, but just like in Warband, I think I'm too low to be recognized as a legit faction. My clan tier is 2, so I dont think it's gonna work.

Just like as in Warband, the first thing you capture will def be yours, I thought it would be the same here.. but no...

Okay, I just clicked resolve on that popup, and it lead to the vote... The castle was voted to go to different guy because he " captured the castle " . I have never been more pissed off ever in my life. He did not take it, I did, I have been working on it for the last day.

This game is so ♥♥♥♥, its not even believable, I literally left the Empire right after and then returned to the castle to besiege it, but hey, what a suprise, I CANT BESIEGE IT. I cant even gain entry because I am banned from going in.

I'm going to start a new campaign, fight against the empire and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ execute every single ♥♥♥♥ that is on their side

Attack a village to put yourself at war, then you'll be able to besiege the castle.

Although if you're too little to form a kingdom you may struggle to take on the empire you just left.

You know what, someone in my faction took varcheg, and you know who got it? I did :lunar2019grinningpig:

Maybe you should just accept what happend and wait for the next opportunity. You get a castle or town soon enough. Maybe even without doing anything for it as it happened to me.

Yeah, votes tend to include landless vassals, i got given a castle, enemy took it back basically straight away and then i got given a town/city.
