UI not being impacted:

However I guess there may be a target audience who likes these effects, it's just not for me.
Understood as one YES but NO.
So I am asking if there is any "need" before investing time into modding it ))
(just found out its possible after looking at the game's early modding potentials)
Where does it say it is supposed to look better? It is supposed to showcase how its possible to tweak and add effects to the existing pipeline and further how it does not affect the UI.
Beside that, why would someone discuss "better" anyway on such subjective matter?
The game is out for couple of days and modders are looking into modding capabilities and finding out what is wanted/needed. Most you will see from us is proof of concept at this point.
You mean to replace the looters in the image with swim suite babes? :D
On a more serious note, which mods exactly are you referring to?
Please keep in mind that Skyrim modding started even before Bannerlord was in announced.
From about 13 mods in the list of the shared video, there are 2 (at least one is using an external tool) that seem to be related to the effect pipeline.
Most of what they add should be possible to add here too but it might look different in Bannerlord.
Do you maybe have a list of effects/changes you would like to see?
I want to work on the internal pipeline cause with external tools you will run into problems earliest with the UI and latest when you get into multiplayer because of anti-cheat measures.
What will there be plenty out of? Tools to change the graphics or presets for those tools?
There are basically two options here, either I create a tool with only one preset (then you are certainly right, while best would mean appeal to the greater audience) or with just options to let people create their own presets, in which case its more "competing" with other tools (which there will not be that many of)?
As long as enough people are interested, I would actually encourage more tool options being used. It often gives inspiration to your own work.

I saw you did not yet purchase the game Pan? If so, I can really recommend it!
Simple visual tweaking to your personal style not so much.
There's Reshade, G.E.M., and ENB for tweaking effects externally but internal would be better allowing for more impact on the graphics of the game, without being just an overlay.
It could reduce overhead of another tool plus the upside with multi-player where likely no external tool will work.
Anyhow, I like the idea to adjust also existing effects, to tune them up or down, improve their performance or maybe even look.
