Why are 95% of all companions female?
I just noticed that I have only found 1 male companion in 36 hours of playing.

Edit: It is not my intention to be sexist, I just question it at it is a mediaval world.
Edit2: I just noticed afther checking the wiki that there is exactly the same aument of male and female companions in the game, just for some reason I nearly never find the male ones

They're not, really. The current wanderers are generated from a list of suffixes rather than set companions, which are gender-bound. So yours just happened to roll more "Shieldmaidens," "The Black," than it did "The Lucky," "The Red" etc.

I haven't checked the list, so it may well be there's a disparity where more are female.

I'm totally gonna be that guy right now, but since there aren't at least 20 companions to recruit, it's impossible for the ratio to be 95%

Serious answer, yes, there's more male companions, I think there's 5 and 5.

shhhh you dont want to get banned by the mods here for being a sexist troll do you?

They dont ban you, they just lock threads to prevent discussion lul.

Can ♥♥♥♥ on taleworlds and bannerlord all day and its fine, the moment you say there are too many women in this game LOCKED.

Yeah I noticed that too. I want male companions because it feels more "realistic" for the era.

Just press N to open the encyclopedia, click heroes, select male, scroll down to the bottom of the left tab and choose wanderer. There's like 8 men and tripple that amount of women. Please add more men because I don't want an amazon warrior army.

It's not like I have anything against women (it's 2020 so you have to mention that or people will get offended), but it just doesn't feel natural. There were female warriors around back then too, of course, I know but it wasn't as common.

mods are literal nazis

Eh in that case the dude deserved it- if only for his level of ignorance, whilst there is truth in Black slavery (and white European slavery) he completely ignores that Africa did indeed have empires in its hey day like kush, mali, zulu, etc.

how does that thread in any way imply the mods are nazis?

In case OP wanted some actual discussion and not whining about "SJWs", yeah its odd that most of the companions i find are female, maybe something to do with the random chance for females to show up being higher than male companions? who knows but it would be nicer to have a more diverse mercenary band.
As a D&D DM, I post this when ever my players complain about RNGesus hating them.

There are male companions in this, you're just not seeing them because RNG is being weird.

I don't really give a ♥♥♥♥ whether recruit-able NPCs are male or female. Because it's not like I'm going to be looking down their pants anytime soon.

It is more for imersion reasons, it somehow breaks the immersion for me to see 90% of female characters in a time whrere it was very unusual

No, people who say ♥♥♥♥ such as "all blacks were slaves a 1000 years ago" clearly didn't study history and should therefore not speak about it.

They all have kind of the same sob story too.

Just checked and in my campaign there are 10 female companions and 11 male ones. Post a screenshot of your encyclopedia to prove your 95%.

You are such an idiot. Man... first this game IS NOTHING hitoricla. it is a work of fiction. So ... why not ?
Second it is obvious that thread was provocative and ignorant.
Ignorant a bit like you calling mod Nazis when they close that thread.

I wish you ll get ban too just because you bring it up the way you do.

In all honesty I do not care about your view and I wish to not open any debate such as this as they are obviously flawed by racism, intolerance and stupidity (again this is a work of fiction and not the real world)

Well, there weren't any female leaders in the original game either and now there are. It was actually supposed to be more difficult to play a female in the original game, and that makes sense, you'd be some kind of joan of arc.

Anyway, at this point in time the entertainment industry is just trying more and more to appeal to everyone, even in games that are supposed to have some degree of realism on them(or at least it's what should be expected from some genres).

So, just polish the game first(major priority) then release modding tools, and let me mod the hell out of it. It's all I ask from the devs.

i'd agree if the game was set in our world, but it's not a historical game. It's a fictional world with fictional cultures. The only historical aspect is in terms of how the factions look.
