Right now you smelt until you get the message, wait for 12 hours and then you can only smelt another 3 or 4 and you get the message again ..
This mod seems interesting.
If you hover over your characters picture in the smithy it tells you how much stamina you have left.
So, you think your character should be capable of refining 100,000 units of wood a day or making 20,000 swords? Then we can be like Skyrim and you can get your smithing skill to 100 in just under 20 minutes !
Your soldiers aren't master blacksmiths, they're uneducated peasants or professional soldiers. Also, how many forges do you supposedly have?
My soldiers aren't master blacksmiths but my companions with 0 smithing are? Get out of here with that bad argument.
Why are you trying to defend a "feature" that serves no purpose other than to be annoying?
Companions can already smith. Click the picture in the lower left of the smithing screen and you can switch to them to smith with them. The more you know !
And, (big spoiler here) their smithing skill goes up like yours does !
I was aware that companions can smith, that's why I used them in the counter-argument "my companions can smith with 0 skill, but my soldiers can't?". You seem to have misunderstood.
