Gold Farming?
Hi guys, can you give me some tips on how to farm gold? I mean, are the most common ways the most efficient? I usually farm them by taking down bandits. But as i grow my army, is there anything bigger i can do that brings more profit?

Just buy and sell stuff anywhere you go. I lug around 7000kg worth of stuff most of the time.

Workshops
Fiefs

If you've played appropriately and made sure to get your followers set up with their own armies you can just go around the map taking down whomever you're at war with.

I made 313K casually before my game ended just off of selling PoWs and the loot I got from them alongside my fief and caravan income.

Get caravans, i have 2 and have around 60k and it keeps coming. takes a while to profit tho.

Hunting caravans is a tasty option once you're done with bandits. Get a merc contract and farm some caravans - you can even hunt your enemy's caravans in friendly territory without any risk of armies trying to hunt you down, since a faction's caravans will travel across the map.

1 caravan's loot + prisoners can easily net you anywhere between 4-8K+

Kill and enslave bandits, send them into chains and sell all their property. Do this for a while until you have some renown, then become a mercenary, fight for a faction that is weak because then you will get into a lot of battles which will get you a lot more slaves and a lot more equipment, so sell, pillage, sell, pillage and then once you reach 15 thousand gold you buy a Caravan which will earn you up to 1k per day. However Caravans are a bit random because some days they bring in 100 gold and other days they bring in 1400 gold. Be careful, enslave and steal. It will get you far in this game :)

Head up north and murderize a few sea raiders, then take their axes and melt them down into 2 wood and 3 iron, which sells for 300-600 per axe and the wood generated produces enough coal to melt another axe. It's a great way to earn initial money to buy a workshop.

I started off by raiding villages a few times, then, once you can get in on combat vs lords take everything you can (dont sell horses much though, they let you carry more for every one)

For example after fighting the garrison of a castle and maybe a army of 3 lords, I got 10k from selling items alone. Also, enemy lords tend to go for 1500 each at the slave trader at the tavern and i think upper teir prisoners go for 100 each.

After you have 15k and a companion to spare you can make a caravan by talking to notables at a town. They have an upkeep of 250, but after awhile they can make 900 - 1500 a day.

Also get a town gives you 900 a day + their villages.
early on:Smighting , smelting weapons and making iron/steel and selling it in specific towns can yeld you lots money early on(get low lv heroes/companions , easier to get them to smight)

Later on: bulk buy bulk sell food

im currently on a save with 450 donkeys , where i go to some towns "buy all cheap food"(causes hunger/minus prosperity but not my problem) and selling it on other side of map

you would think that profit on cheap goods would not be big but when your getting 5-12 gold profit on 5000 of various foods it becomes ridicules

food is alweys being eaten , there is alweys demand on it anywhere

one town already went down in 1000 prosperity by me doing this just for 10 ingame weeks

become Nestle of this universe where food is not human right:)

Best thing about towns is how you can scale the prosperity and just increase it over time to absurd levels. I earn over 2000 a day from only one town. One of my villages which sells desert horses gave me 1400 a day as well. Swiming in gold atm xD.

early game, just go to a city center and talk to the generic townfolk, they will often talk about their relatives or friends making a profit by buying something in this town and selling it the next town over. don't blindly trust them, but it certainly works to get your money up to 15k at which point caravans can start being a thing.
they will tell you they made 46 gold profit per oil for selling them in the next city over. so you go to the market, buy about half of the oil or as much as you can carry (keep in mind the prices change when you buy large numbers) and start traveling to that city, there always check that you are indeed selling at a profit, and find new people to talk to in this city.

remember to not spend all your gold on goods even if they are profitable, as it is bad for morale if you can't pay the daily gold to your men.

Just head to a tavern, listen to trade rumors, buy goods, head to the next town and sell like hell.

I'm doing a merchant run, and that tactic is very useful early game.

Now I've traveled the map alot and seen lots of prices, so now I see alot of trade rumors without going to taverns, but occasionally those patrons still tell me really useful things I haven't reached yet.

So best solution is to get towns under your control?

Go for a castle in your first conquest, they are smaller, less defended and all castles have a few villages which will earn you a nice income. But all in all you will do better if you follow my other advice further up. Enslaving and looting enemies is far more profitable in the early game than ambitiously taking on a whole kingdom for a town or two ;).
